Our season begins in early February and ends with the State finals in Doniphan, held the 1st weekend of May. The season consists of 6 weekend conference shoots; a conference Awards shoot; and the State finals.

We may also take part in the Cornhusker State Games and a fall league at Lincoln Trap and Skeet.
Shooters are divided into a Junior Division (grades 6-8) and a Senior Division (grades 9-12). At Trap meets, the Juniors shoot 2 rounds of 25 rock. Seniors also shoot 2 rounds of 25, then have their scores handicapped to shoot two more rounds of 25.
Practices are held at Lincoln Trap and Skeet, 4855 N 48th St, Lincoln, NE 68504 on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:15pm-5:30pm.
Eye and ear protection is mandatory while shooting!
Completion of Nebraska Hunter Education Training Course is required before competing in the meets.
Shooters provide their own ammunition. Club fees include the rock used at practice and entrance fees for meets. Shooters also provide their own shotgun (most use a 12-gauge), but if you are uncertain at first, the Club has a gun that you can try. Shell recommendation are detailed in the equipment details and coaches can provide details on which ammo to buy. Most shooters prefer to wear a vest that can hold ammo and the spent shells.
