Equipment

Each team member must have:

• A 12 gauge shotgun in safe working condition (release triggers are not allowed)
• Sufficient ammunition for practices and meets
• Eye protection (shooting glasses or regular glasses with lenses made of high-impact material... you can also have prescription shooting glasses made)
• Hearing protection (ear muffs or ear plugs)
• A shooting vest or pouch (e.g., to hold empty shells)
• A shell catcher if you use a semiautomatic (it's bad form to eject shells at the person on the post next to you)

Other gear is recommended, including:

• Shotgun cleaning equipment and supplies (clean guns shoot better)
• A range bag to hold ammo and miscellaneous equipment (choke tubes, choke wrench, gun oil or grease, towel, etc.)

Don't forget to document your firearms:

• Make, model, caliber and serial number
• Take a photo of your firearm
• Note distinguishing marks or unique features (with photos) that make it readily identifiabe

• #7.5 to 8 shot
• 1145-1250 speed
